Rapid Response, Effective Coordination
As Gökyüzü Foundation, we take an active field role in disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and wildfires through search and rescue operations, humanitarian aid, and psychosocial support.
Experienced Volunteers, Ready Team
With approximately 300 disaster-trained volunteers, we remain on standby year-round after continuous training, ready to be deployed at any moment.
With Dedication, We Are On the Field from the Heart
All our interventions are provided free of charge; we deliver professional humanitarian aid in coordination with AFAD.

Within the scope of Disaster and Emergency Support, our foundation assumes it as a fundamental humanitarian duty to respond quickly, effectively, and in coordination to natural disasters in our country, ensuring that disaster victims do not feel alone.
We have actively participated in many large and small-scale disasters with our own resources, including the Marmaris and Manavgat wildfires, Kastamonu and Sinop floods, İzmir and Elazığ earthquakes, and especially the earthquake centered in Hatay.
During the Hatay earthquake, uninterrupted operations were carried out in Elbistan and Hatay for approximately nine weeks. In this period, search and rescue operations, humanitarian aid distribution, and psychosocial support services were handled as an integrated effort, and around ten truckloads of relief supplies were delivered to villages and inaccessible neighborhoods in coordination with AFAD.
Tent areas were visited one by one, and post-trauma psychological support was provided especially to children and women, accompanying disaster survivors in both their material and emotional recovery processes.
The Disaster Community established within our foundation consists of approximately 300 volunteers experienced in disaster management.
The community continuously receives disaster training throughout the year, strengthening its capacity in basic search and rescue, aid sorting and logistics support, and psychosocial intervention.
Thus, it remains a prepared and trained force ready for any possible emergency.
Our core principles in disaster response are to act quickly, maintain flawless coordination, and deliver aid while preserving the dignity of disaster victims.
In addition to cash and in-kind assistance, we adopt a holistic approach by creating play areas for children, establishing safe spaces for women in tent cities, and organizing activities that support social cohesion.
All these efforts are carried out on a voluntary and non-profit basis, aiming to heal the wounds of disaster survivors and facilitate their return to normal life.
At Gökyüzü Foundation, we believe that a helping hand extended in times of disaster is the strongest foundation for building tomorrow.
In good times and in bad, just look up at the sky; we will be right where you look.
