What is the main purpose of Gökyüzü Foundation?

Through the social awareness created by cultural impact, we contribute to the education, cultural development, and social awareness of disadvantaged children and young people, while also providing food, healthcare, and shelter support to thousands of people.

What is the founding story of your foundation?

It began in 2018 with the dream of two siblings who looked up at the sky while sitting on raw material sacks in a factory yard. Today, it has turned into a movement of goodness that has grown with over 500 volunteer trainers and thousands of supporters.

Does your foundation have any political or religious affiliation?

No. Our foundation operates with a fully independent and impartial structure. There is no membership or dues system. In line with commitment to Atatürk’s principles and reforms, we continue our path without endorsing any structure that discriminates among people.

How can I make a donation?

You can make donations via credit card through our online payment system. Alternatively, you can donate via bank transfer or in cash by visiting our foundation. For in-kind donations, you may contact our foundation center.

Where are my donations used?

Our annual activity and financial reports are audited by the relevant authorities.

Can my donation benefit from tax deductions?

Yes. Our foundation has the status of a Public Benefit Organization (PBO). You may benefit from tax deductions by obtaining a receipt for your donations.

How can I become a volunteer?

You can contact us through the communication channels on our website. After your application is evaluated, you will be informed about suitable projects. You may also visit our foundation to receive detailed information.

Do I need a special skill to become a volunteer?

No. Our volunteers include individuals working in various areas such as trainers, field workers, administrative support, and event organization. Your motivation and time are sufficient.

What do you expect from volunteers?

It is sufficient that you can dedicate regular time either in your own field or general volunteering activities, act in accordance with the foundation’s values, and be inclined toward teamwork.

How can I join your communities?

You can access the contact information on the page of the community you are interested in or register directly by visiting our foundation center.

Are events paid?

All events, workshops, and seminars under cultural support programs are completely free of charge.

Where do the events take place?

Our foundation center is located in Ankara, and some events may also be held online or in different cities.

Who can apply for support from your foundation?

Applications for educational scholarships, economic support, or cultural activities are evaluated for individuals and families in need who meet specific criteria. For detailed information, please refer to our “Our Support” page.
